Is silence is a good thing?
Yes! It means we’ve been out fishing and haven’t found time for daily updates. This awesome weather has things moving quickly in the NE and last week we posted about some of the trout fishing we’ve done. This week we checked out what the warmwater has to offer and it was good.
Early Spring
Like much of the country, we’re enjoying an early Spring in New England. The dogs have been playing in the mud and gone with us on a hike to check out a brookie stream post-Irene. I’ve seen tons of good-sized stoneflies and the trout have also noticed. In addition to the chunky bugs, small midge patterns have been effective this March. Fortunately the mosquitoes are only now beginning to multiply and I haven’t seen or heard much about black flies. It’s made the nice weather that much better.
